libcephfs-dev software package provides Ceph distributed file system client library (development files), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libcephfs-dev
libcephfs-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libcephfs-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libcephfs-dev *
You will get with libcephfs-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
